Bajaj Auto: A March to Remember with a 25% Surge in Total Wholesales

Bajaj Auto, one of the leading automobile manufacturers in India, has reported a significant 25% year-on-year growth in its total vehicle wholesales, including exports, for March 2024. This marks a substantial rise from the 2,91,567 units sold in March 2023.

The Pune-based automaker sold a total of 3,65,904 units in March 2024. This includes a significant 27% increase in two-wheeler sales, reaching 3,13,885 units. The company’s domestic sales, including commercial vehicles, rose by 18% to 2,20,393 unit. This is a notable increase compared to the 1,86,522 units sold in the same month last year.

Exports on the Rise

Bajaj Auto’s total exports during March 2024 rose by an impressive 39% to 1,45,511 units. This is a significant increase from the 1,05,045 vehicles that were shipped to overseas markets in March 2023.

A Successful Fiscal Year

For the fiscal year ending March 31, 2024, Bajaj Auto reported wholesales of 4,350,933 units. This represents an 11% increase over the 3,927,857 units in the 2022-23 fiscal. Domestic dispatches to dealers rose by 29% to 2,714,723 units in FY24. However, exports declined by 10% last fiscal at 1,636,210 units from 1,821,240 units of two-wheelers and commercial vehicles in FY23.
